Cookie Policy

1. What this covers

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by the Atom8 Vault and the pages served from it, including the customer portal and the public batch-verification pages. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information more generally.

Dry Tech Aerogels (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2016/288016/07) is responsible for this site. You can reach us at info@dry-tech.co.za or on 016 931 1640.

2. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. It lets a site recognise the same browser from one request to the next — which is how you stay signed in after you have entered your password.

We also use a small amount of browser storage that is not technically a cookie, listed below, which stays on your own device and is never sent to us.

3. What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use analytics or statistics cookies. We do not embed third-party trackers, social media pixels or fingerprinting scripts, and we do not track you across other websites.

Nothing on this site profiles you or builds an advertising audience. The cookies we set exist to sign you in and to remember how you like the screen to look.

4. The cookies we set

All of them are first-party, meaning they are set by this site and sent only back to it. None of them are readable by any third party.

5. Other browser storage

These are kept by your browser on your own device using local storage, and are never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

6. Your choices

Because we set no advertising or analytics cookies, there is nothing here to opt out of for tracking purposes, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the preference cookies simply means the site forgets your appearance choice and falls back to the default. Blocking the session cookie will stop you being able to sign in at all, because there would be no way for the system to tell one request from the next.

The preference cookies can also be changed at any time from the appearance controls inside the Vault.

7. Legal basis

The session cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, and is processed on that basis under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and section 45 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

The preference cookies hold no personal information — only which theme and colour scheme you picked — and are set when you make that choice.

8. Changes

If we add a cookie, or ever switch on an analytics tool, this page is updated before that change goes live and the version number below changes with it.
