Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of the Atom8 Vault, the customer portal and the batch-verification pages. They cover the system itself — what you buy from us is governed by the quotation and invoice for that order.
Version 1.0 · effective 18 October 2026
1. Who we are
The Atom8 Vault is operated by Dry Tech Aerogels (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2016/288016/07, VAT number 4090275456, a private company registered in the Republic of South Africa.
Our registered address is 11 Delfos Boulevard, Afrox Business Park, Vanderbijlpark N. W. 7. You can reach us on 016 931 1640 or at info@dry-tech.co.za. These details are given in compliance with section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
2. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the Atom8 Vault: the internal system used by our staff, the customer portal, and the public pages that let anyone verify a batch number or a certificate.
They are not terms of sale. What you are buying from us, at what price and on what payment terms is set out on the quotation and the invoice for that order. Where these terms and a signed supply agreement differ, the supply agreement governs the supply.
By signing in, or by using the batch-verification pages, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the system.
3. Accounts and access
- Accounts are issued by us. You may not create one yourself, and you may not transfer yours to anyone else.
- Your login credentials are personal to you. Do not share them, and do not let anyone else work under your account — every action in this system is recorded against the account that performed it.
- Tell us immediately at info@dry-tech.co.za if you believe someone else has used your account.
- We may suspend or withdraw access where an account is shared, where it is used in a way that threatens the integrity of records, or where the relationship that justified the access has ended.
- You are responsible for what is done under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
When using this system you must not:
- Attempt to access data, accounts, customers or records you have not been given access to.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the system, or try to get round any access control, rate limit or audit mechanism.
- Introduce malicious code, or anything designed to interfere with the system or the data in it.
- Extract data in bulk by automated means, except through an interface we have provided for that purpose.
- Falsify, alter, backdate or delete a record in order to misrepresent what actually happened.
- Use the system, or anything taken from it, in a way that breaks South African law.
5. Records, certificates and reliance
Certificates of analysis, safety data sheets, technical data sheets, delivery notes and dangerous-goods declarations issued through this system relate to the specific batch or consignment named on them, and to no other.
An approved certificate cannot be edited. Where a correction is needed, a numbered revision is issued carrying a stated reason, and the earlier version remains on record. A document you hold may therefore have been superseded, and the batch-verification page is the way to confirm the current position.
Do not alter a document issued through this system. An altered certificate is not ours and we do not stand behind it.
Results and recommendations relate to the samples and conditions described. They are not a guarantee of performance in your own application, which depends on conditions we do not control.
6. Your information
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, and the cookies we use are set out in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these terms.
Data you enter into the system remains yours as between you and us. We use it to provide the service, to meet our own quality and statutory record-keeping obligations, and for nothing else.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the system available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It is maintained, updated and occasionally taken offline for work.
We may change, add to, or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what the system does for you, we will tell you.
8. Intellectual property
The Atom8 Vault, its design, its underlying software and our formulations, methods and document templates remain our property or that of our licensors. Access to the system grants you no rights in any of it beyond using it for its intended purpose.
Our trade marks, including Atom8, may not be used without our written permission.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of production or loss of data arising from your use of this system, and our total liability arising from the system itself is limited to the amounts you have paid us for it.
This clause limits liability for the system. It does not limit anything we owe you for the products we supply, which is governed by the supply agreement, the invoice and the law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access where these terms are breached, where access is no longer justified, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first.
Ending your access does not delete the records of what was done through the account. Quality, financial and audit records are kept for the periods the law and our own quality system require.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version number and effective date below change when we do, and material changes are notified to account holders.
Continuing to use the system after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
